About Hobert Bush

Hobert currently holds the position as Instructor with The Coding Boot Camp at UNC-Chapel Hill, teaching Web Development. This position is in addition to Hobert’s full-time career as a Manager at IBM.

Hobert has been a life-long programmer since early childhood when he wrote his first snippet of code to control a Star Wars Lego R2D2 robot he built. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Mathematics from East Carolina University in 2010. As a member of the Advisory Board for the ECU Computer Science Department, Hobert provides Industry insight to the professors connecting real-world experience to the academic curriculum. As a life-long learner, Hobert is fulfilling yet another goal, pursuing a Master’s of Accounting at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus on taxation.

Hobert has been a Software Engineer at IBM since 2010. His leadership on resolving client issues and providing solutions using IBM’s suite of products has led to his current position as the Worldwide Manager for the IBM Cloud Platform Project Office. His responsibilities include leading a global team on assisting other IBM teams and clients with the financial aspect of IBM Cloud. Hobert has a personal passion contributing to his team’s growth and anyone pursuing a career in software development.
